DeBary Hall to host reception honoring
local artist Nov. 7

DeBary Hall Historic Site will host a free public reception for local photographer James Phillips at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in the stables.

Phillips’ photographs have appeared in numerous books, magazines, posters and calendars including Audubon guides, the “Florida’s Fabulous” pictorial book series, Photographer’s Forum Magazine, Dive Training Magazine and Outdoor Photographer’s scenic calendar. He has written more than 100 magazine articles and traveled throughout the Southeast on assignment.

The artist-of-the-month program runs from October through May at DeBary Hall and features a different artist each month.

Those who miss the opening reception may view the artwork while touring DeBary Hall at regular admission prices, which are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for children ages 3 - 12, and free for children 2 and younger. DeBary Hall is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and from noon - 4 p.m. Sunday.
