back to news releases March 4, 2005 VOLUSIA COUNTY FIRE SERVICES SENDS SIX FIREFIGHTERS TO ASSIST WITH SEARCH IN CITRUS COUNTY Six members of Volusia County Fire Services left Wednesday, March 2, for Citrus County to assist the Sheriff's Office there with grid searching for clues or evidence in the case of the missing 9 year old. This is the first official state tasking for Volusia County Task Force 9. The firefighters are: Lt. Arleen Redmond, Melissa Wolf-Johnson, John Rudnicki, Lt. Shannon Prachniak, Dan Bauder and Gerard Krallinger. According to Volusia County Deputy Chief Kathy Weaver, the six firefighters assisted with search efforts, and were asked to stay over through Friday. Weaver anticipates they will return to Volusia County Friday.
