ECHO ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING APRIL 23

The Volusia County Environmental, Cultural, Historical and Outdoor (ECHO) advisory committee will meet from 3 - 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in the Volusia County Council chambers of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.

Committee members will review survey results from applicants and begin discussion of the ECHO Application and Guide.

Eligible applicants for ECHO grants are cities of Volusia County, not-for-profits incorporated in Florida with a local office, and departments of Volusia County Government. The 2008/2009 grant cycle began in April with the final application deadline proposed for Nov. 20. Interested applicants should contact the ECHO office at (386) 740-5210 in DeLand, (386) 424-6835 in New Smyrna Beach, or (386) 257-6050 in Daytona Beach and ask to be included on the notification list.

Updated information and the committee’s meeting schedule can be found on the advisory committee’s Web site at www.volusiaforever-echo.com. The next meeting will be from 3 -5 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, in the County Council chambers.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities who need special accommodation to participate in the proceedings should contact the ECHO office for assistance at least two business days before the meeting.
