ECHO ADVISORY COMMITTEE LISTENING SESSIONS
The Volusia County Environmental, Cultural, Historical and Outdoor
(ECHO) advisory committee will host two listening sessions in May. The
purpose of the listening sessions is to solicit comments from former and
potential grantees regarding how ECHO can improve the application
process, while maintaining the integrity of the competitive process and
appropriate use of tax dollars. The ECHO advisory committee is appointed
by the Volusia County Council to recommend policies and procedures of
the ECHO grants program and awards.
The eastside listening session will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, May
12, at the Port Orange Library, 1005 City Center Circle. The westside
listening session will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the
DeBary Hall stables, 210 Sunrise Ave. ECHO committee members will be in
attendance to listen and ask questions if necessary.

construct environmental learning, cultural, historic/heritage and
outdoor recreation projects for public use.
