OCEAN CENTER ART IN PUBLIC PLACES
SELECTION COMMITTEE TO MEET MAY 13
The Art in Public Places selection committee for the Ocean Center
expansion project will meet at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, in the Ocean
Room of the Ocean Center, 101 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach.
The committee is part of the Cultural Council of Volusia County,
which is an advisory board to the Volusia County Council. Members will
continue their review of submissions received from more than 80 artists
across the United States. Selected artwork will be installed in the
Ocean Center upon completion of the expansion project. The public is
invited to attend this review.
Volusia County’s Art in Public Places program provides for 0.5 to 1
percent of total construction costs to be set aside for procurement of
artwork to be placed in public areas of all new, expanded or renovated
County buildings.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Florida
Statutes, persons with disabilities needing special accommodation to

business days before the date of the meeting.
