CHILDREN AND FAMILIES ADVISORY BOARD
TO MEET MAY 27
The Children and Families Advisory Board will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday,
May 27, in the first-floor training rooms of the Thomas C. Kelly
Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.
The board is scheduled to hear funding requests from Trinity United
Methodist Church of Seville and the Children’s Home Society. The board
also will conduct a workshop to identify community needs and establish
funding priorities.
The advisory board assesses and evaluates strategies to meet needs,
monitors program compliance, advertises funding availability, recommends
appropriations for programs servicing children and families, and
provides recommendations to the Volusia County Council on children and
family issues.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Florida
statutes, persons with disabilities who need special accommodation to

business days before the meeting.
