Learn about “The water beneath your feet” at 2
p.m. Saturday, June 6, at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 210 Sunrise Blvd.
Bill Hall, an employee with the State Park
Division, will address the history, mystery and marvels of Blue Spring
State Park, which is a source for drinking water and habitat for
hundreds of West Indian Manatees. He also will share the geology and
biology of Blue Spring.
Hall’s talk is part of Lemonade Lectures, a
learning series about Volusia County’s history. The event, which will be
behind DeBary Hall’s visitors center, is free and open to the public.
Light refreshments will be provided.
DeBary Hall Historic Site is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places. The site is owned by the State of
Florida and managed by Volusia County’s Parks, Recreation and Culture
Division.
