Volusia County schedules five-year
road program zone meetings
Volusia County’s Public Works Department will
conduct four public meetings addressing the county’s five-year road
program July 6 and 9. At each meeting, staff members will address
proposed projects, costs and timetables and solicit public input. The
meetings will be at:
- 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, at the Daytona
Beach Public Works office, 950 Bellevue Ave. This meeting will address
zone one, which includes Daytona Beach Shores, Daytona Beach, South
Daytona, Holly Hill, Port Orange, Ponce Inlet and Ormond Beach.
- 2 p.m. Monday, July 6, at the Brannon
Center, 105 S. Riverside Drive, New Smyrna Beach. This meeting will
address zone two, which includes New Smyrna Beach, Oak Hill and
Edgewater.
- 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, in room 2018
of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave.,
DeLand. This meeting will address zone four, which includes DeLand and
Pierson.
- 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 9, in the
second-floor conference room of Deltona City Hall, 2345 Providence
Blvd. This meeting will address zone three, which includes Deltona,
DeBary, Lake Helen and Orange City.
County officials update the road program annually
based on the current estimates of Transportation Trust Fund revenues and
road impact fees. The program may be modified if revenues change during
the year.
