MARINE SCIENCE CENTER OFFERS INDIAN RIVER
LAGOON PROGRAM
Students young and old can learn about the Indian River Lagoon at 1
p.m. Saturday, July 19.
Stretching from Ponce de Leon Inlet south for more than 150 miles,
the Indian River Lagoon system supports more than 3,000 species of
animals and plants. In 1990, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
designated it as an "estuary of national significance," which initiated
local and national efforts to better protect the biodiversity of this
rich ecosystem. Join a specialist from the St. Johns River Water
Management District as we explore this unique and vital resource in our
back yard.
Please register by calling (386) 304-5545 or (386) 304-5529.
