NEWS MEDIA ADVISORY: STATE OF THE LOCAL ECONOMY BRIEFING NOV. 14

What: The Volusia County Department of Economic Development (DOED) invites news media representatives to join the audience of community leaders for a briefing on the current state of the local economy. The meeting will include a welcome by the Volusia County Council and a presentation by DOED Director Rick Michael. Topics covered will include changes in the area’s employment trends, residential and commercial building permit activity for the third quarter of 2008, and the latest data concerning the county’s residential foreclosures.

When: 7:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14

Where: Volusia Room, second floor of the Daytona Beach International Airport, 700 Catalina Drive, Daytona Beach.
