The Port Orange Regional Library will participate in an international
effort to break the sport stacking record Thursday, Nov. 12.
Children and adults are invited to stop by the library from 10 a.m. -
6 p.m. and stack specially designed cups in prescribed patterns for at
least 30 minutes.
The activity is part of the fourth annual World Sport Stacking
Association “Stack up,” which is sanctioned by the Guinness Book of
World Records and sponsored by Wonderful® Pistachios. At last year’s
event, 222,560 stackers representing 1,343 organizations from 13
countries and all 50 states stacked together to set a world record.
Sport stacking, which originated in southern California in the early
1980s, promotes eye-hand coordination, fitness and teamwork. For more
