VOLUSIA’S ELECTION SUPERVISOR SUBPOENAED TO DELIVER ALL BALLOTS TO LEON COUNTY BY SATURDAY

Attorneys acting on behalf of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney have subpoenaed Volusia’s Supervisor of Elections Deanie Lowe to hand deliver all ballots cast in the November 7 general election to the Leon County Courthouse by Saturday, December 2.

Lowe received the subpoena late Thursday morning. The documents requested the Lowe to hand deliver:

All ballots cast in the November 7 general election.

An actual voting machine used in the November 7 general election.

A published sample ballot used in Volusia County in conjunction with the November 7 general election.

Any and all information or materials referred to in any voter information or education program or process in Volusia County.

Any and all information or materials distributed in Volusia County regarding any voter information or education program or process.

The County Attorney is considering an appropriate response to the request.
