REGISTER NOW FOR VOLUSIA COUNTY SUMMER CAMPS
FOR YOUTH
It’s not too early to think about summer activities for the kids.
Volusia County offers several summer camps for children through the
Leisure Services division. From snorkeling to sports camps, there’s
something for everyone:
VOLUSIA COUNTY LEISURE SERVICES SUMMER
RECREATION PROGRAM
Youth can enjoy 10 fun-filled weeks of supervised playground
activities, sports, crafts, and exciting field trips to the movies,
Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Wet 'n Wild and more. Space is
limited, and participants are encouraged to sign up early.
Summer recreation program hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30
p.m. (closed July 4). The dates are Tuesday, May 29 -
Friday, August 3. Program cost is $50 per week per child, trips
included plus a one-time $20 registration fee. Programs fees are subject
to change.
Early registration is at each site from 9 a.m. - noon, Saturday, May
12, and Saturday, May 19. Program sites are subject to change. Please
call the Volusia County Leisure Services hotline at (386) 736-5952 for
current listings.

Beach Park ion New Smyrna Beach, Ormond-By-The-Sea Bicentennial Park,
Bonner Elementary, Edgewater Public School, David Hinson Middle School,
Holly Hill Middle, Hurst Elementary, Burns-Oak Hill Burns Elementary,
Ormond Beach Middle, Palm Terrace Elementary, Pathways Elementary, Ponce
Inlet Lighthouse Park, Samsula Elementary and Westside Elementary.

SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH WITH
SPECIAL NEEDS
Youth with special needs can enjoy 10 fun-filled weeks of supervised
playground activities, sports, crafts, and more. The program serves
youth in grades K-5. Camp Olympus is offered at Edgewater Public School,
Edgewater. West Volusia Special Needs camp is available at Volusia Pines
Elementary, Lake Helen. To qualify, a child must be multi-VE and have
medical clearance. The child must be able to work within a one to five
teacher ratio. Space is limited. Participants are encouraged to sign up
early.

p.m. (closed July 4). The dates are Tuesday, May 29 - Friday, August 3.

C.A.M.P. (COUNTY AQUA MARINE PROGRAM)
A fun water camp that offers participants, ages 9 - 15, skilled,
aquatic activity focused on environmental impact, education and safety.
The program is limited to 12 youth per session. All instructors are
certified.
The program offers seven, one-week sessions beginning June 4, Monday
- Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Participants are required to attend classes at
a different site each day of the week:
Monday - DeLeon Springs, Tuesday - Blue Spring, Wednesday - Blue
Spring, Thursday - Ponce Inlet, Friday - Ponce Inlet and the Marine
Science Center. Parents must provide transportation to sites. No camp
will be held the week of July 3.
Participants must bring a swimsuit, towel, sun block, lunch and water
bottle. The fee is $50 per participant, per week.
SPARTAN SPORTS CAMP
Campers ages 11 - 14 will learn the basic to advanced skills for
baseball/softball,
basketball, soccer, track and field, volleyball, golf, tennis,
lacrosse and flag football in this camp that runs 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.,
May 29 - August 3 at DeLand Middle School. The cost is $60 per week, per
child, plus a $20 registration fee.
