Driver Critically Injured
Volusia County Fire Services' Squads 35 and 46, Battalion Commanders 30 and 40 and DeLand Engine 82 responded to a call regarding a heavily entrapped vehicle under a tractor trailer the afternoon of August 12, 2006. The accident took place in the 2100 block of Woodland Boulevard in Glenwood. The extrication was extensive with Pratt's Wrecker Service utilized to pull the vehicle from under the tractor trailer. After the patient was removed from the wreckage, he was flown to Halifax Hospital in critical condition.
