Mercers Fernery Road home destroyed
In the early morning hours of October 4, 2009, an unoccupied home on Mercers Fernery Road in DeLand caught fire. The home was 50-percent involved when firefighters arrived on scene. Damages are estimated at $225,000 with the cause of the fire to be determined. DeLand Fire Department, Engine 46, Tender 42, Squad 35, and Division 12 were on scene.
