Delta adds
seasonal flight to Atlanta
Delta Air Lines has
announced that effective December 1 Delta Connection carrier Atlanta
Southeast Airlines (ASA) will add a daily seasonal flight between Daytona
Beach and Atlanta.
The new flight will be on
Delta’s 50-passenger Bombardier CRJ regional jet and will increase Delta’s
number of daily departures to Atlanta to eight flights. The new flight
will depart Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport at 1 p.m. and arrive
in Daytona Beach at 2:20 p.m. It will depart Daytona Beach at 2:55 p.m.
and arrive in Atlanta at 4:20 p.m.
“This is welcome news as we
move into our busy winter season,” said Dennis McGee, DBIA’s Director of
Aviation. Delta this year has experienced year-over-year passenger
increases each month compared to 2002 with very high passenger load
factors. The new flight should further boost the upward trend in Airport
passenger traffic.
Delta’s Atlanta hub offers
passengers air service options to more than 200 domestic and international
destinations every day.
