traffic increases 21 percent at Daytona Beach International Airport
Passenger traffic at Daytona
Beach International Airport increased 21 percent in October compared
with the same month last year.
During October 48,004 incoming
and outgoing passengers traveled through Daytona Beach International
Airport. This compares with 39,698 travelers recorded in October last
year.
For the past 12 months, 686,990
travelers have flown in and out of the County-operated airport, a 26
percent increase over the over the same 12-month period for the prior
year when the airport handled 545,460 passengers.
September’s passenger increase
marked the tenth consecutive month of double digit passenger growth in
2007 following introduction of low fare service by AirTran Airways in
January 2007.
