AirTran
Airways offers daily seasonal nonstop jet
service between Daytona Beach International Airport (DBIA) and New
York’s LaGuardia Airport. Flights can be booked today
at airtran.com.
“This is very significant for our
community,” said DBIA Director of Aviation Dennis McGee. “Nonstop
service to LaGuardia will be of great benefit to the entire region.”
McGee further commented that numerous local residents have family,
friends and business connections in the New York City area, and they
will benefit from this new, nonstop service. New York’s LaGuardia
Airport is a centrally located downtown airport with excellent proximity
to Connecticut, Long Island and New York City.
The new seasonal
nonstop service departs Daytona Beach at 12:50 p.m., arriving at
LaGuardia Airport at 3:25 p.m. The inbound flight from LaGuardia will
depart New York at 1:10 p.m., arriving in Daytona Beach at 3:55 p.m. No
ending date has been specified for this new nonstop service.
Daytona Beach International Airport, in
cooperation with the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau,
the Southeast Volusia Advertising Authority and the West Volusia
Advertising Authority, plans to conduct an extensive advertising and
marketing campaign to better inform the public of the availability of
the new low-fare nonstop service and to promote traffic on the route.
Based in Atlanta and headquartered
