Mission:
To provide Animal Control Services to the public in the
most effective, efficient and courteous means possible. We will provide professional,
pro-active enforcement of Volusia County Code of Ordinances chapter 14 and the State
Statutes pertaining to animals. We will promote responsible pet ownership by individual
contact and community outreach programs.

Animal Control is looking for volunteers to work during and after a disaster.
Duties may include working at the People and Pet evacuation shelter,
animal rescue, animal transport during evacuation, office work, and more. For more

Community outreach program
Animal Services has a speaker available for presentations on responsible
pet ownership for your group, such as schools, boy scouts, girl scouts, homeowners
associations and civic organizations. Please call (386) 248-1790 to schedule your
presentation.

Pet Vet Cruiser
A state-of–the-art mobile veterinary clinic for pet owners who qualify
to have their pets surgically sterilized.
