Housing Rehabilitation
 
Housing Rehabilitation For homeowners who need assistance to bring their substandard property up to housing codes.
Substantial Rehabilitation For homes that cannot be rehabilitated due  to extensive deterioration. Homes are demolished and reconstructed on the owner’s lot.
Emergency Repair For homes with code violations that pose immediate health and/or safety hazards.

Assistance is provided in the form of a zero interest loan that must be repaid over a term not to exceed 30 years. The amount of the loan and/or the term length is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the cost of the project and the age of the homeowner.

Homebuyer Assistance

New Homes Provides funds for down payment and closing costs toward the purchase of a newly constructed home.
 
Existing Homes Provides funds for down payment and closing cost toward the purchase of an existing home. These homes must also pass an HQS inspection.

Homebuyer Assistance Program 2009 - 2010 [PDF]

Assistance is provided for gap financing and closing costs in the form of a 30-year soft second mortgage.

Foreclosure Prevention Program

Provides an opportunity for qualified homeowners who occupy their home to avoid foreclosure. Funds will be provided to eligible homeowners to assist with bringing their mortgage payments current prior to the start of the foreclosure process on a first ready, first served basis. Assistance is provided in the form of a 15-year subordinate mortgage.
