Jack Hayman
Edgewater
District 3 representative

       Jack Hayman represents District 3 on the Volusia County Council. He
       took office in November 2002. His district includes Port Orange, a small
       area of South Daytona, New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater and Oak Hill.

       He holds the designations of Certified County Commissioner and
       Advanced County Commissioner from the Florida Association of
       Counties.

Hayman is a graduate of New Smyrna Beach Live Oak High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with honors from the University of Tampa and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Hayman served more than 30 years with the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

He is President/CEO of Communications Engineering Technology and President/CEO of Hayman Construction Company.

Personal

Hayman has lived in southeast Volusia County most of his life and has been married to the former Patricia Cory for 46 years. They have three grown children, two of whom live in the area, and five grandchildren.
