IMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION

Supervisor of Elections Ann McFall announces the Volusia County Canvassing Board will begin meeting on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. and will meet each day thereafter until the conclusion of the canvassing process for the Presidential General Election.

On Wednesday, October 29, 2008 the agenda includes the beginning of canvassing absentee ballots as well as re-feeding the ballots from the Ormond Beach early voting site for the first week of operation. An equipment malfunction occurred on Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Ormond Beach location. The re-feed is being performed in order to assure everyone the equipment count equals the number of signatures on hand as well as the number of voted ballots on hand. Other agenda items will be added as needed.

All canvassing board meetings will be held at the Department of Elections, Historic Courthouse, 125 W. New York Avenue, Deland, Conference Room #1. The public is welcome to attend all canvassing board meetings in order to observe the canvassing process.
