Election day voting guidelines

If a voter chooses to cast a ballot on Election Day, he or she must go to their assigned precinct. The polling place can be located by using the “Precinct Locator”. Locations are listed in the paper prior to Election Day. Compare the precinct number on your Voter Information Card to the one listed in the paper to determine the location of your polling site.

An acceptable identification card that includes photo and signature (example: Florida Driver's License, Florida ID, Military ID, Student ID, U.S. Passport) must be shown to vote. If the picture identification does not contain the signature of the voter, an additional identification that provides the voter's signature shall be required.  If the voter fails to furnish the required identification, he or she shall be allowed to vote a provisional ballot. If the signature on record at the Supervisor of Elections office matches that on the Provisional Ballot Certificate, the canvassing board will accept the ballot.

A voter should notify a poll worker should he or she need assistance to vote.  A voter may  bring someone to the precinct location for assistance or a request can be made to the poll workers to provide assistance.
