Speakers Bureau
The Department of Elections is pleased to take its message and vision to the citizens of Volusia County. Those wishing to have the Honorable Ann McFall, Supervisor of Elections, or a representative from her Department, speak to their group or organization should contact Voter Education at (386) 736-5930 (West Volusia Area), (386) 254-4690 (Daytona Beach Area), (386) 423-3311 (New Smyrna Beach Area), or (386) 574-0598 ext. 5930 (Deltona/Osteen Area).

A program can be designed for the specific needs of your organization and may be held in conjunction with a voter registration drive.

Student Education
The Supervisor of Elections office offers students in high school, college and university settings the opportunity to register to vote and also guide students to an understanding of the importance of a person’s participation in the electoral process.

Outlined below is the current program style which has been successfully in many high schools in Volusia County. The program takes approximately 40 minutes.

Assembly Format

• Large classroom or auditorium-style set-up.
• Designed for maximum effectiveness in reaching a larger group of students at one time.
• Students will view the "First Vote" video and a PowerPoint presentation on the importance of one vote and significance it can play in your life.
• Opportunity to register to vote.
• Applications are collected and are immediately delivered back to the Department of Elections and processed.

Nursing Home/Assisted Living Facilities/Retirement Centers
The Supervisor of Elections office visits over 100 nursing homes, assisted living facilities and retirement centers in Volusia County at least once a year. By doing so, the Department is able to assist residents with registering to vote, update voter records and order absentee ballots for upcoming elections.

The Voter Education Division works closely with each facility to offer the best program that works for each individual location. Some facilities ask for assistance through a registration drive setting while others find it more feasible to offer one-on-one assistance, based on the needs of the residents.
