Volusia County Fire Services began demobilization of up to 600 fire services personnel, as fire activity continues to diminish. Sixty - Six mutual aid fire fighters will remain through Saturday to offer relief. By Sunday morning, Volusia County Fire Services should resume regular scheduled duties.
Fires in Volusia County remain at 80 percent containment, with several hot spots continuing to exist in the Deer Run area off St. Road 40 in Ormond Beach.
The latest damage report from the Volusia County Property Appraisers Office shows no new structural damage. Damaged structures remain at six single family, one mobile home and two commercial businesses.
The Emergency Operations Center and Citizens Information Center will remain open from 8-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
