Officials make another arrest in Volusia wildfires

A DeLand man was charged today with setting a brush fire near Daytona Estates in Volusia County according to State Fire Marshal Bill Nelson.

The 34 year old suspect was charged with intentionally burning land - a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison upon conviction.

The arrest brings the number of individuals charged with similar crimes in connection with wildfires in Volusia County to four.
