The evacuations include a mandatory
evacuation from Airport Road north to Durrance Lane and Tymber Creek west to the power
lines; the Aberdeen subdivision (Williamson and Hand) and the Spring Meadows subdivision

Beach Airport is closed.

the western side of Florida Shores has been given. Florida Shores has about 4,200 homes.

southbound at Kennedy Parkway south of Oak Hill; State Road 40 between Buckles and Church,
and between U.S. Hwy. 17 and 11; Tymber Creek between Broadway and Airport.
"Winds gusting up to 20 miles an hour
have whipped up a lot of smoke in the Edgewater area," said Jim Ryan, Emergency
Management Director. "Its also causing the fires to be more active and
unpredictable."
"Its very important for
residents to stay tuned to the latest news reports and act accordingly," he added.
