MEDIA BRIEFING CENTER ESTABLISHED AT ORMOND BEACH CHURCH

A media briefing center for reporters covering the brush fires in Volusia County has been established at the Riverbend Community Church at 2080 W. Granada Blvd. in Ormond Beach.

City of Ormond Beach and Volusia County Emergency Management Officials will use the site to provide information and brief reporters on new developments, efforts to contain the blazes, local evacuations and damage assessments.

The next news briefing at the site has been scheduled for 9 p.m. tonight.
