Fire in Clubhouse Damages Structure
Firefighters responded December 2, 2005 to a fire at the Meadowlea on the River Clubhouse in DeBary. The single-story structure had heavy smoke and flames coming from the kitchen area. No one was inside the structure at the time of the fire. Firefighters made a forced entry into the building and began an interior attack of the fire. The fire was confined to a storage room off the kitchen area and to the attic of building. Engines 31, 33, Tanker 32, Squad 35, Battalion 30 and Division 12 responded to the incident. Damage to the structure is estimated at less than $50,000.
