Multi-vehicle accident in Glenwood
On March 6, Squad 41, Engines 41 and 42, Battalion 40 and DeLand Fire Rescue responded to a multi-vehicle motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Mercer’s Fernery Road and Spring Garden Road in Glenwood. The crews quickly stabilized one of the vehicle’s, which was on its side and began a roof extrication of the two patients inside. Unfortunately, one of the passengers was not wearing her seat belt and expired shortly after crews arrived on scene. A driver of one of the vehicles was airlifted to Halifax Hospital and four other patients were treated for minor injuries.
