MVA near Pierson
On February 27, 2009 a motor vehicle accident took place on Highway US 17 approximately one half mile north of Pierson. Despite the damage to the vehicles involved in the accident, only one patient was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Engines 43 and 44 responded to the scene as well as Volusia County Sheriff's Office, EVAC and the Florida Highway Patrol.
