Rescue in Samsula
County Road 415 was the scene of a two- lane motor vehicle accident on June 12, 2005, that left two trucks in a ditch that was filled with water. Trapped inside an overturned vehicle was a mother and her 10 year son. Showing little concern for their own safety, passer-bys demonstrated the best in human nature by coming to their aid and consoling the child while keeping his head above water. They also managed to free the unconscious female in the truck and administer CPR to her until rescue workers arrived. The female patient was airlifted to Halifax Medical Center in critical condition.
