Stone Island Fire
This blaze began when a generator malfunctioned and caught the rear of the home on fire. As a result of the hurricanes, the power in the area had been out for several days and the occupants had a generator operating on the back porch. When Engine 34 arrived on the scene, it was a fully involved two story structure fire with no occupants at home. Due to the amount of time the house was burning, it was a total loss. However, the fire department did manage to retrieve some photos and jewelry to return to the occupants of the home. Engines 34 and 36, Squad 35, Tankers 32 and 36, Battalion 30 and the Deltona Fire Department responded.
