Hazardous Materials Team Conducts Monthly Training
The Volusia County Hazardous Materials Team receives training from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office Bomb Team as part of on-going monthly training. The two teams have trained together for several years, ensuring a coordinated response to hazardous incidents. In this drill, the teams review the use of the bomb team robot and protective equipment utilized by bomb squad members.
The Volusia County Hazardous Materials Team is comprised of members from Volusia County, Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, DeLand, Deltona, New Smyrna Beach and Port Orange Fire, EVAC Ambulance, Volusia County Environmental, and Road and Bridge.
