Automatic Mutual Aid Agreement Adopted

The Volusia County Council and the Lake County Commissioners have passed the agenda item for an Automatic Mutual Aid Agreement between Volusia County Fire Services and Lake County Fire/Rescue. The agreement provides benefits to both jurisdictions by facilitating the free flow of fire/rescue personnel, equipment and other vital resources across county lines during emergencies. In advance of emergency situations necessitating the activation of the agreement, it clarifies questions regarding authority, liability and costs assumed by each county.
