Lt. Don JohnsonThe Operations Team is responsible for providing fire suppression/rescue and EMS (Emergency Medical Services) to approximately 900 square miles of Volusia County with a residential population of 130,000. Operations provides services that include, but are not limited to, Firewalker Team, Hazardous Materials Response Team, heavy rescue, aviation support, Fire Police, ALS (Advanced Life Support), Honor Guard, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and natural fuel hazard assessment and reduction through prescribed burns or mechanical reduction, which is accomplished by the Natural Fuels Mitigation Manager.
The Operations Team is committed to providing courteous and efficient services to our customers, the residents and visitors of Volusia County. This is accomplished through the dedication, determination and desire of all members of Volusia County Fire Services.
