Don JohnsonThe Operations Team is responsible for providing fire suppression/rescue and EMS (Emergency Medical Services) to approximately 900 square miles of Volusia County with a residential population of 130,000. Operations provides other services that include, but are not limited to, Firewalker Team, Technical Rescue Team, Hazardous Materials Response Team, Fire Police, ALS (Advanced Life Support), Honor Guard and natural fuel hazard assessment and reduction through prescribed burns or mechanical reduction, which is accomplished by the Natural Fuels Mitigation Manager.
The Operations Team is committed to providing courteous and efficient services to our customers, the residents and visitors of Volusia County. This is accomplished through the dedication, determination and desire of all members of Volusia County Fire Services.
