The Planning and Special Services Team provides for the public's safety and welfare through a variety of services. The Planning and Fire Safety Management working group provides fire prevention/education, code enforcement and plans review through the fire inspection section.
Fire and EMS reporting as well as data collection for emergency responses is accomplished through the Records Management Section.
The Fire Prevention Team is a volunteer group that assists in the delivery of fire prevention activities for Volusia County Fire Services. This team meets regularly in the evenings for training and participates in various events throughout Volusia County assisting with the Fire Safety Trailer educational tour and providing fire safety information to citizens visiting the trailer. The Fire Prevention Team is always looking for additional volunteers to assist in their efforts. Those having public speaking and/or teaching experience are specifically needed. A variety of training and educational programs are conducted at the Fire Science Institute.
Fire Services Emergency Medical Services Manager supervises and manages the daily operations of emergency medical procedures and emergency medical personnel in the department.
