FDC Props
Two
Volusia County Firefighters, Chuck Creech and Robert Lilly, have made a
tabletop fire department connection (FDC) prop, which can be used for
member training and public presentations. The FDC is the pipe work,
typically mounted on a building, to which hose lines are hooked up to in
order to provide a water source to the building sprinkler system or
standpipe system. The prop includes a locking FDC with key, a Knox Box
with key and a Knox padlock. Seeing the real thing during a training
session or public presentation will make more of an impact than merely
speaking about the FDC.
