386-424-6834 (New Smyrna Beach)Land Acquisition assists the Volusia Forever Program with the acquisition of approved projects. Land Acquisition staff also identifies, coordinates and applies for local, regional, state and federal land acquisition grants as a match for the Volusia Forever Program.
Other responsibilities include the coordination of leases, land purchases for other county departments and disposal of county owned properties. Staff actively pursues the purchase of tax certificates that assists the small lot acquisition program and also provides guidance with donations and purchase of privately held lands
