The already affordable rental rates at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach just got better with the launch of a “Hot Dates” program at the Volusia County facility.

The Hot Dates program offers a 10-percent discount on facility rental for first-time clients - regardless of the amount of space rented - for bookings in August, September, October or November in 2009 and beyond. Sales staff also is negotiating additional incentives to rent the space during what’s typically the facility’s slower season.

“These windows of opportunity hopefully will convince more planners and businesses to take a look the Ocean Center and its surprisingly affordable rates,” said Lori Hunter, Ocean Center sales director. “These deals are even sweeter when you consider the Ocean Center is an all-new, high-tech facility; is next door to the World’s Most Famous Beach; is surrounded by quality hotel rooms; and is immersed in some of the nicest weather anywhere. Booking the Ocean Center during the Hot Deals program or any time of year is a winning scenario for planners, exhibitors and visitors.”

Ideal bookings for the Hot Dates program include short-term trainings and seminars, expos and concerts. Even conventions that book years in advance can participate in the Hot Dates program for future years. However, all Hot Dates-related contracts must be signed by Dec. 31, 2009.

The Hot Dates program includes all rentable space in the facility, including the new 95,000-square-foot exhibit hall, 9,600-seat arena, 11,715-square-foot ball room and all 36 meeting rooms.
