Ocean Center hosts student conferences, camps this July

It’s the ideal scenario: sun, surf, sand and enough air-conditioned indoor meeting space to accommodate thousands of excited students on vacation in Daytona Beach. So it’s no wonder the Volusia County Ocean Center will again host several student programs this July: the Student Life Student Conference from July 12 - 16; National Cheerleading Association  Cheer Camp from July 13 - 16; and Big Stuf, a Christian youth camp, from July 18 - 24.

The Student Life Student Conference is a Christian youth conference that’s been at the Ocean Center since 2005. Nearly 7,000 attendees are expected. Local tourism officials anticipate the private conference will bring an economic impact of $4.5 million to the area. Learn more at www.StudentLife.com.

The NCA Cheer Camp, an Ocean Center event since 2003, will bring nearly 350 campers in grades 6 - 12 to the facility. Learn more about NCA camps at www.NCA.Varsity.com.

Big Stuf is a Christian youth camp for middle and high school students and features musical performances and worship and church breakout sessions. Big Stuf, also known as Youth Ministry Resources, was organized in 1988 and is a nondenominational, nonprofit ministry based in Alpharetta, Ga. This is Big Stuf’s third year at the Ocean Center.
