Volusia County’s library administration has proposed to close two libraries and reduce hours at two others as part of a proposal to reduce expenses. The cost reductions are being reviewed by the county’s citizen library advisory board and will be presented December 10 to the Volusia County Council for consideration.

This week, Volusia Magazine, the county’s weekly public information television program, focuses on the library budget-reduction recommendations on the table for consideration by the Volusia County Council. The in-depth interview guest is Volusia County Library Director Lucinda Colee. The 30-minute program also includes county news of the week, community interest features, and the latest actions of the Volusia County Council.

Volusia Magazine airs Sunday (November 22) at 5 p.m. and repeats Monday (November 23) at 7:30 p.m. on WDSC-TV15. To watch Channel 15, turn your television to UHF channel 15 or consult your cable television listings. All cable television stations in Volusia County carry WDSC TV-15.
