LPGA Brushfire update #3
May 12, 7:45 a.m.
There will be about 50 firefighters and nine engines working throughout the
day to improve the fire breaks created around the fire.
A mandatory evacuation order is still in effect for the LPGA
subdivision. LPGA Blvd. remains closed from Williamson Blvd. to
International Speedway Boulevard.
According to the American Red Cross, 2 LPGA-area residents were at the
Hampton Inn at 11 p.m. The ARC will announce their shelter plans later this
morning.
Estimates of the fire size have increased to 800 to 1,000 acres.
Additional information will be available at 10 a.m. this morning.
