City of Edgewater rain update

Closings
None scheduled – all city offices remain open and fully staffed

Damage
There have been two reports of residences with minor flood damage. (There is no displacement at this time.)
Minor issues of trees and limbs on power lines have been reported and corrected.

Road closings
There are no road closures in Edgewater.

City services
All emergency services are functioning at full staffing and readiness.
Water and wastewater plants are fully staffed and functioning at normal capacity.
Stormwater crews are assessing and maintaining drainage situation throughout the city.

NOTE: Residents must bring shovels and bags. Residents can buy commercial bags at home improvement stores or they can use double-bagged heavy-duty trash bags

General
All emergencies should  be reported via 911.

Residents are urged not to place anything (storm debris, refuse, etc.) in the right of ways, swales, canals or retention areas. These areas are crucial for water flow into the City’s stormwater system and essential for the prevention of flooding.

All lift stations and traffic lights are in operation.
