City of Ormond Beach Police Department
Ormond Beach clean-up
and debris removal information
Residents in the city continue to clean up from last weeks flooding. In an
effort to facilitate safe and efficient removal of the normal refuse
generated by residents and removal of debris associated with the storms and
flooding, residents are asked to separate debris into the following
categories.
Yard Waste: vegetative debris should be
separated from other types of waste. Yard waste will be removed on
Wednesday. Large piles of debris that cannot be removed by hand will be
scheduled for mechanical pick-up and removed as soon as possible. Private
Contractors are reminded that they must remove any debris that they produce
per city ordinance.
Electronics:
This debris requires special handling and should not be mixed with other
types of waste.
Appliances: Keep any discarded appliances separate from other waste.
Household
waste: Household waste or garbage should be containerized either
in trash cans or plastic bags and kept separated from other types of waste.
Recycling: materials to be recycled should not be mixed with other waste.
Hazardous
materials: No hazardous materials should be placed at the
roadside for pick-up.
