VOLUSIA COUNTY RAINFALL - UPDATE #22

Aerial mosquito spraying to begin Sunday, June 7

Volusia County’s Mosquito Control Division has contracted with Clarke Mosquito Control to spray 113,569 acres in the county starting Sunday night, June 7. Clarke will treat for adult mosquitoes using low-flying fixed-wing aircraft. The spraying will occur between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. and is expected to be complete by Thursday night.

The following areas, in order, will be sprayed:

  • Edgewater, New Smyrna Beach and Oak Hill south to the county line
  • East Volusia County from the northern county line south to Beville Road, Daytona Beach, between I-95 and the Halifax River
  • Unincorporated areas of West Volusia County from I-4 north to Pierson
