DELTONA MAN DIES IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT

 

 A 23-year-old man lost his life in a single vehicle motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon in Deltona. Steven L. Cruz was driving his 2007 Suzuki 600 eastbound on Eustis Avenue at a high rate of speed. As he approached a curve near Galaxy Middle School at approximately 4 p.m. he lost control of the motorcycle and went over a curb. He crashed into a chain link fence in front of the school and struck his head on a fence post. Cruz was not wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead on scene by EVAC ambulance paramedics at 4:13. Cruz was a Deltona resident.
