SHERIFF’S OFFICE SEEKS HELP IN SEARCH FOR ORMOND BEACH MAN

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a 41-year-old Ormond Beach man who bonded out of jail this week but is now wanted on at least two more arrest warrants. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of James F. Hines can report the information anonymously and qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.

Hines was arrested over the weekend on charges that included burglary and grand theft. He was released from the Volusia County Branch Jail on Monday after posting bond. The next day, two more arrest warrants were issued for Hines, and deputies have been searching for him ever since. The additional charges include a violation of the terms of his release on a pending domestic battery complaint and a contempt of court for violating an injunction against repeat violence. Hines also has been named by the State Fire Marshal’s Office as a suspect in a suspicious fire over the weekend that burned down a home.

Hines is a white man who’s approximately 5’6” and weighs about 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information about Hines is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Volusia & Flagler Counties, toll-free, at 1-888-277-TIPS. Callers to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and can qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
