REWARD
OFFERED FOR TIPS ON WANTED DELTONA MAN
Out
of prison for less than eight months, investigators say 22-year-old Tony
Littles, Jr. is committing new crimes in Orange City, Deltona and
Sanford at an alarming rate. And law enforcement officials are hoping a
reward of up to $1,000 will generate tips to help get Littles off the
street before he creates any additional victims.
According
to the Florida Department of Corrections, Littles was released from
prison in October after serving about nine months on a drug conviction.
He also has previous arrests, both here and in Seminole County, on a
variety of charges that include burglary, purse snatching, fleeing and
eluding, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, retail
theft, driving with a suspended license and giving a false name to law
enforcement. His last known address was on Lockwood Boulevard in
Deltona, but Littles also is known to have contacts in Seminole County
as well.
In just the past
week, Littles is suspected of stealing two cars, snatching a purse from
an elderly woman and breaking into a car to steal another purse.
Investigators with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, Orange City
Police Department and Sanford Police Department are working together to
find Littles, but so far he has eluded capture.
On
Monday, Littles is accused of stealing a relative’s Lincoln Town Car
that was parked in Deltona. The car was later found abandoned at an auto
lot in Sanford, where Littles is suspected of stealing a 2000 white,
two-door Pontiac Grand Am. On Tuesday, he’s accused of snatching the
purse of an elderly shopper in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Veterans
Memorial Parkway in Orange City. And on Thursday, Littles was spotted
breaking into a car on Enterprise Road in Orange City to steal a purse.
In Volusia County he’s wanted on open warrants charging him with grand
theft and petty theft, both felony offenses. His bond has been set at
$10,000 apiece on each charge.
