SHERIFF’S
OFFICE INVESTIGATING STABBING NEAR DAYTONA BEACH
A
30-year-old man was stabbed Sunday night near Daytona Beach, sending him
to the hospital for surgery for his non-life threatening injury. He told
deputies that his roommate stabbed him during an argument. The suspect,
Daniel Rose, fled before deputies arrived on scene.
The victim had
allowed Rose to live with him at 3243 La Paloma Ave. for the past three
weeks. The victim reported to deputies that at approximately 9:15 p.m.
he confronted Rose about drinking too much alcohol. The victim asked
Rose to leave, but Rose refused. The argument escalated into a physical
fight, and after a few minutes of the two wrestling, Rose pulled out a
knife. The 37-year-old swung the knife at the victim, slashing him
across the right chest area. Rose then fled, and the victim had a friend
drive him to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach.
Deputies are
currently looking for Rose. He is a white male, 5’3” tall and about
140 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing
brown pants, no shirt and flip-flops.
